KS3 English Coordinator
Location: Hounslow
A stimulating opportunity has arisen for a dedicated KS3 English Coordinator to join a reputable secondary school in Hounslow. This key role is for an experienced English Teacher with a passion for Key Stage 3, who will lead the curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical approaches to ensure all younger students build a strong foundation in English language and literature. The successful candidate will inspire a love for reading and writing and prepare students effectively for their GCSE studies.
The Role
The KS3 English Coordinator will:
* Lead the development and implementation of an engaging and progressive KS3 English curriculum.
* Oversee assessment, tracking, and monitoring of student progress across Key Stage 3.
* Support and mentor KS3 English teachers, sharing best practices and promoting high-quality teaching and learning.
* Contribute to departmental and whole-school literacy initiatives.
* Analyse KS3 data to identify areas for intervention and enrichment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a qualified English Teacher (QTS/QTLS) who:
* Has proven experience teaching English across Key Stages, with a particular strength in KS3.
