English Teacher – West Leeds
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (Until December 2025, with potential for extension)
Location: West Leeds
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in West Leeds. This is a full-time placement beginning in September, initially until the end of the calendar year, with the possibility of extension.
About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will:
* Deliver engaging and effective English lessons up to GCSE level
* Take full responsibility for planning, marking, and managing your exam classes
* Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment
The school places a strong emphasis on academic success and student development. Leadership is committed to ensuring pupils are well-prepared for further education, employment, or training.
Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this English Teacher position, you must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* A relevant honours degree in English or a related subject
* At least two references from educational settings
* A passion for quality teaching and a drive to see students succeed
* A current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
