Location: Secondary School - L25, Liverpool
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £150 - £220 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a secondary school in South Liverpool (L25) to appoint an English Teacher for a full-time, long-term position beginning in September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and supportive English department within a school that places a strong emphasis on creativity, high standards, and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging and challenging lessons in English Language and Literature to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Planning and preparing schemes of work in line with curriculum objectives
Monitoring and supporting student progress through assessments and feedback
Managing behaviour effectively to create a safe and focused learning environment
Participating in departmental and whole-school activities to support pupil achievement and enrichment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Have recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting
Be confident in delivering English Language and Literature to GCSE level
Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young learners
Be committed, organised, and able to work collaboratively within a team
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
