The Opportunity We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of English to join a thriving Humanities and English department at a high-achieving secondary school in the vibrant London Borough of Hackney. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about literature and language to foster a lifelong love for reading and writing in our diverse student body.
The Role You will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and potentially Key Stage 5 (A-Level). Your role will involve planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons, assessing student progress rigorously, and contributing to the development of dynamic schemes of work. You will also be encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as debate clubs, creative writing workshops, or literary societies.
