The Role

Lead and manage the English department (KS3–KS5), overseeing curriculum, teaching, and assessment
*
Support and coach a team of dedicated English teachers to deliver consistently high-quality lessons
*
Drive progress and outcomes in GCSE and A-Level English Language and Literature
*
Contribute to whole-school literacy strategy and staff development
*
Maintain a culture of high expectations and achievement
The Candidate
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
*
Strong classroom practitioner with a proven track record of success at KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5
*
Experience in a leadership role (HoD, Second in Department, or TLR holder)
*
Excellent communication, planning and team leadership skills
*
Committed to raising standards and passionate about English education
