Are you a passionate and resilient English Teacher with experience in SEND and SEMH settings? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join a small, inclusive secondary school in Portsmouth, specialising in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This welcoming school provides a nurturing and structured environment for young people who may present with challenging behaviour, anxiety, or past trauma, and require a differentiated approach to learning.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and accessible English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
Work closely with a dedicated team of SEND professionals
Contribute to EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or SEND
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Empathetic, patient, and resilient character
A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
