Daily Rate: £166.32 – £220
Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Are you passionate about English and inspiring young minds? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Newport area. This full-time role will run from February until the end of the academic year in July 2025.
You'll be teaching pupils aged 11–16 in a well-established English department that consistently aims for academic excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teachers or NQTs looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
A confident classroom practitioner who can deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Someone who builds strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
A teacher who fosters independent learning and academic curiosity.
Ability to assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Enhanced Child DBS (registered on the update service or willing to apply)
EWC registration
Two recent references
Proof of right to work in the UK
Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
