TeacherActive are working closely with a successful and inclusive secondary school in the Medway area to recruit a dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
As an English Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Inspire a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking in your students.
Plan and prepare lessons that challenge and support students of all abilities.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with department staff to contribute to curriculum development.
Participate in wider school activities, parents’ evenings, and CPD opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with English specialism (ECTs are welcome).
Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
Strong classroom management skills and a proactive teaching style.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A passion for education and a commitment to student achievement.
