As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students’ literacy skills and foster a deep appreciation for the English language. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities of English Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, writing competitions, or drama productions.
Uphold safeguarding and health and safety standards in all aspects of teaching.
Collaborate with staff to support whole-school initiatives and student wellbeing.
Essential Qualifications for English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
Experience teaching English at secondary level.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A passion for literature and language education.
Ability to provide a 10-year career history with references covering the last two years.
