The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School English Teacher to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly A-Level, if applicable) with innovative teaching methods, helping them develop critical literacy, communication, and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English literature and language tailored to a range of abilities. Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards and school policies. Encourage a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking among students. Support students’ personal and academic development through mentoring and guidance. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and extracurricular activities. Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives. What We’re Looking For: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level. Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
