English Teacher
SEN Secondary School (SK16, Tameside)
Full-time | Permanent Contract | Immediate Start
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Reeson Education is recruiting for an English Teacher to join a fantastic SEN secondary school in the SK16 area of Tameside. This is a permanent position with a direct school contract, starting as soon as possible.
The school supports pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH, ADHD, anxiety, and other additional needs. With small class sizes (no more than six pupils per group) and excellent resources, the school offers the ideal setting for an English Teacher who wants to make a lasting difference.
As an English Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging English lessons tailored to EHCPs and individual needs
Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral staff to create structure and consistency
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to support progress and confidence
Use creativity and flexibility to re-engage learners with SEMH and behavioural challenges
Monitor and track pupil progress, contributing to reviews and target settingWe are looking for an English Teacher who:
Holds QTS (essential)
Has experience teaching English in the UK curriculum
Is resilient, adaptable, and passionate about SEN and SEMH
Can confidently deliver lessons that support both academic and emotional developmentWhat's on offer for the successful English Teacher:
