Roles & Responsibilities
As an English Teacher with TeacherActive, you will:
Deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that stretch and challenge students of all abilities.
Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of reading and writing.
Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
Provide constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and the wider school community.
The Successful English Teacher Will Have:
QTS with English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / GCSE
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for English and inspiring young learners
