English Teacher – Middlesbrough Location: Middlesbrough Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September 2025 Salary: Competitive, Pay to Scale About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to support secondary schools in the Middlesbrough area. You will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons across KS3–KS5, inspiring students to achieve their best and develop a lifelong love of English. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning goals. Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practices. Contribute to students’ wider development through pastoral support and extracurriculars. Uphold safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing. What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of the English curriculum (KS3–KS5). Proven experience teaching English in a secondary setting. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities.
