Role Overview: As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire students to excel in English. You will work closely with the English department to ensure all students receive high-quality instruction, fostering both skills and a love for the subject. The successful candidate will be adaptable, creative, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, adapting instruction to meet individual needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to participate actively. Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to develop resources and share best practices. Prepare students for examinations and coursework, providing the guidance needed for success. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences as required. Candidate Requirements: Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related subject. Desirable: Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level. Strong subject knowledge with the ability to bring literature and language to life. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
