English Teacher – Maidstone
Long-Term Contract | Start: After October Half Term – Until Christmas Holidays
Supply Desk are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded and popular secondary school in Maidstone in their search for a passionate and adaptable English Teacher to join their dedicated English department after the October half term break. This full-time role will run until the Christmas holidays, with full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and energetic department in a school known for its positive learning environment and strong community ethos.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is beneficial but not essential).
Take full classroom responsibility, including planning and marking.
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students can achieve.
Collaborate closely with the established English department and contribute to shared planning.
Be an adaptable team player who can hit the ground running and support learners effectively.
Participate in department and whole-school activities where possible.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
A positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
