Job Description

Job Title: English Teacher (KS3 / KS4) Area: West Drayton, Hillingdon Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Temp to Perm) Salary: £170 - £250 per day (depending on experience) Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm Interview: Video interview ASAP for the first stage Brief description: Teach English to KS3/KS4 students in a specialist alternative provision setting About the school: A specialist alternative provision supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs and those unable to access mainstream education. Small class sizes and strong pastoral focus. About the role: Deliver the English curriculum to students with varied academic levels. Plan engaging, inclusive lessons. Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team. We're looking for a dedicated candidate to: Teach KS3 and KS4 English, including GCSE preparation Differentiate lessons to meet individual needs Support students' emotional and academic development Uphold behaviour and safeguarding policiesRequirements - The ideal candidate would have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) Experience teaching English at secondary level SEN or SEMH teaching experience (desirable) Strong classroom and behaviour management skills A patient, nurturing and adaptable approachOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
