Job Description
Humly is recruiting a dedicated English Teacher to join a secondary school in Cumbria for the remainder of the Autumn Term. This full-time role runs from 29th September to 17th December 2025, teaching Year 7 to Year 10 (with Year 11 potentially re-timetabled to other teachers).
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Years 7–10)
*
Planning, preparing and assessing lessons in line with the curriculum
*
Managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment
*
Supporting pupils of mixed abilities to progress and achieve their potential
What You’ll Bring
*
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent qualification in teaching English
*
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English
*
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
*
A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and two suitable references
