Are you an experienced and passionate English Teacher looking for a new opportunity? Aspire People is currently seeking an English Teacher for a long-term cover position at a fantastic school in Bury, North Manchester, starting on November 3rd.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher to join a supportive and collaborative faculty team in a school that prides itself on its excellent facilities and positive working environment. There is also the potential for the right candidate to be offered a permanent position at the school.
Key Details:
Role: English Teacher (Long-Term Cover)
Location: Bury, North Manchester (excellent transport links via bus and tram)
Start Date: November 3rd
Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 3:00pm, Friday: 7:30am - 1:00pm
Pay: £150 - £220 per day as cover, with the permanent position paid to scale
Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Planning and preparing lessons to meet the needs of all students
- Managing classroom behavior and creating a positive learning environment
- Supporting students with their progress and achievement in English
- Working collaboratively with the wider faculty team to enhance teaching and learning
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous experience teaching English at secondary school level is essential
- QTS: Ideally, candidates will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), but we will consider experienced teachers without QTS
- Passion for English: A genuine passion for teaching English and helping students succeed
- Collaborative Team Player: A team-oriented approach to working within the faculty and wider school community
- Adaptable & Enthusiastic: The ability to engage and inspire students in a variety of learning environments
