English Teacher Needed in Chesham PRU
Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Salary: £33,075 – £50,471 (depending on experience)
We are looking for a passionate English Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Chesham starting September 2025.
About the Role:
You will teach English to students at Key Stage 3 and 4, adapting lessons to meet their individual needs. This is a full-time role, initially temp-to-perm through Supply Desk, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons
Support students to build confidence and improve literacy skills
Monitor progress and give helpful feedback
Create a positive and inclusive classroom
Work closely with other staff to support student success
What We Are Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (strong English knowledge considered)
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus)
Good classroom management skills
A caring and patient approach to teaching
A team player motivated to help students succeed
