English Tutor – Gateshead
TP Tutors have an exciting opportunity to support young people in Gateshead who are currently unable to access mainstream education. We are looking for passionate English tutors to help children develop their literacy skills and confidence.
This role may include working outside a mainstream setting.
The Role:
Planning and delivering engaging English sessions tailored to individual needs.
Supporting reading, writing, and communication skills.
Providing constructive feedback and planning next steps to aid progress.
Using pupils’ interests to motivate and take a child-centred approach.
Applying different behavioural strategies to maintain engagement.
Tutor Requirements:
Professional teaching qualifications (QTS) are preferred.
Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH needs.
2 professional references covering at least 24 months from the last 10 years.
An enhanced child workforce DBS or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
