English Tutor | Further Education College | DE14 | £23.50-£28.50 per hour | Full Time | Starting ASAP
An Outstanding Further Education (FE) college in Burton on Trent is seeking a motivated and inspiring English Tutor to join its successful English Department. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to post-16 learners studying GCSE and Functional Skills English, within a supportive and forward-thinking college environment.

Deliver engaging English lessons to post-16 learners (GCSE and Functional Skills)
Plan, assess and record progress in line with college policies and exam board requirements
Support learners to build confidence and achieve their literacy goals
Provide feedback, guidance, and tailored learning support
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing across the collegeIdeal Candidate Profile:
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTLS or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge of English Language curriculum
Experience teaching English in an FE or secondary setting
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
