A leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Environment & Sustainability Specialist to take ownership of environmental compliance, performance, and improvement at site level.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone passionate about sustainability, regulatory compliance, and continuous environmental improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the site's Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO 14001:2015
Ensure regulatory compliance, manage licences/permits, and liaise with external authorities
Define and deliver environmental objectives and sustainability initiatives
Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities
Track and report on performance data and lead incident response
Support cross-functional teams with technical expertise and best practice guidance
Represent environment in site leadership reviews and internal/external auditsThe successful candidate will: -
Be experienced in an environmental role, gained within manufacturing
Deep understanding of environmental legislation and ISO 14001
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis skills
Ability to lead projects and influence sustainable change across teamsOn offer:
