Job Title: Environmental Advisor Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Contract Length: 6 months Location: England and Scotland Are you passionate about sustainability and environmental management? Our client is seeking a dedicated Environmental Advisor to join their EGL1 IJV project team. In this role, you will provide crucial environmental and sustainability advice, guidance, and support across all operations. Key Responsibilities: Environmental Risk Management: Lead efforts to reduce environmental risks associated with construction activities within the EGL1 IJV. Stakeholder Engagement: Provide visible environmental engagement and support across EGL1 and its supply chain, fostering collaboration in England and Scotland. Strategy Development: Partner with the internal project team to develop and implement an effective environmental and sustainability strategy, promoting proactive environmental management. Performance Monitoring: Support the monitoring of contractor performance and compliance with environmental standards across all EGL1 IJV operations. Cultural Development: Contribute to cultivating a positive environmental and sustainability culture throughout the EGL1 project. Advisory Role: Advise project leadership on environmental performance, opportunities, and key performance indicators, ensuring the project meets its sustainability targets. Incident Management: Provide expertise and support in managing environmental incidents, ensuring swift resolution and compliance. SHES Culture Promotion: Promote a positive Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability (SHES) culture through proactive and consistent engagement. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Interpersonal Skills: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all organisational levels. Engagement Capability: Proven ability to engage and inform internal and external stakeholders in constructive and positive manners. Continuous Improvement: A drive for continuous improvement, along with experience in change management. Positive Presence: A professional manner and style that leaves a positive impression on others. Environmental Passion: A genuine passion for embedding a positive environmental culture within an organisation. organisational Skills: Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively. Regulatory Experience: Experience working with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and best practises. Driving licence: A current driving licence is required, as the role involves travel across England and Scotland.
