Job Description
Ocean to Earth Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading environmental consultancy to recruit a Senior Planning Monitoring Officer (PMO) & Environmental Auditor to join their Edinburgh-based team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced environmental professional—potentially an ECOW or site-based advisor—looking to step into a more strategic compliance and auditing role on major energy and infrastructure projects across Scotland.
The Role:
*
Carry out regular site visits (monthly/weekly) to monitor planning and environmental compliance
*
Review and audit documentation such as EIAs and planning condition reports
*
Liaise with developers, local authorities, and regulators
*
Support or work towards ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification
Projects May Include:
*
Windfarms
*
Overhead power lines
*
Mining operations
*
Quarry developments
*
Long-term infrastructure schemes
About You:
*
Degree in environmental science, planning, ecology, geography, engineering, or related discipline
*
Experience on construction sites providing environmental or planning compliance advice
*
Confident communicator with excellent report writing and organisational skills
*
Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, RTPI, CIEEM)
*
Full UK driving licence – must be willing to travel to project sites across Scotland
