What matters most is your drive, your leadership, and your commitment to building a safe and sustainable working environment The Company NW Total Engineered Solutions Ltd. is a specialist manufacturing and engineering company focused on delivering high-quality process equipment packages. Their facility is equipped with a broad range of core capabilities, enabling them to manufacture and rigorously test a diverse array of equipment. They have particular expertise in pipe welding and mechanical fitting, which are central to the projects they undertake. Additionally, they offer in-house Level 2 weld inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across all our work. Location * NW Total Engineered Solutions, LA14 2UE Hours of Work * 37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs and 8am-12pm Fri Salary * £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Key responsibilities * Manage and monitor the site’s EHS Management Systems, including ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. * Implement and uphold existing EHS programmes and policies, offering guidance and support to site teams. * Managing COSHH and ensuring safe handling of hazardous substances * Conduct basic risk assessments and health evaluations under close supervision. * Coordinate Occupational Health activities. * Maintain and update EHS reports, including performing basic data analysis to identify trends and insights. * Ensure all incident records are accurately maintained in line with site and regulatory requirements. * Organise and contribute to training initiatives to ensure compliance with EHS standards. * Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance EHS performance and embed best practices. * Monitor changes in EHS legislation and standards, ensuring timely updates to site policies and procedures. * Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external audits, ensuring full compliance and readiness. * Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including scheduling drills and training sessions. * Promote a positive safety culture through active engagement, clear communication, and recognition programmes. * Support sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental impact assessments. What you need for the role. * Previous experience of working in a HSE environment. * NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma – or working towards * Ability to effectively manage and organise various documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally. * Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage time constraints and conflicting priorities. * Full UK Licence This role is subject to security restrictions. This means that factors such as nationality and place of birth can restrict your eligibility to apply for this role. All successful candidates will be subject to a BPSS security check.
