Environmental Protection Officer Role - Dorset Council

£30-£35 per hour
Initial 3-month contract
Hybrid working arrangements

A Dorset Council is looking for an experienced Environmental Protection Officer to join its Environmental Protection team on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone searching for Environmental Protection Officer jobs who has strong experience investigating domestic nuisance complaints within a local authority environment.

The role will involve:

Investigating noise, light and odour nuisance
Dealing with hoarding, drainage and associated nuisance complaints
Managing a full caseload from initial allocation through to resolution
Receiving and updating cases on the Civica system
Liaising with residents and relevant parties throughout investigations
Taking appropriate action in line with environmental protection legislation and council proceduresThey're looking for someone with previous local authority experience and a strong background in Environmental Protection, statutory nuisance investigations and case management.
