SF Recruitment have recently partnered with a fast-paced client who are looking for a confident, curious, and people-minded Employee Relations Case Investigator to join their growing. You'll handle the tough stuff - navigating complex workplace issues with empathy, objectivity, and confidence, ensuring every case is fair, thorough, and transparent.
Employee Relations Case Investigator
Location: Birmingham (3 days in the office)
Contract type: interim until March 2026
Day rate: £350 per day
What you'll do
- Lead fair, balanced investigations into misconduct, grievances, harassment, and discrimination cases.
- Get to the facts, quickly, through smart evidence gathering and clear reporting.
- Work closely with HR, legal, and leadership to shape fair outcomes.
- Advise managers on next steps, balancing policy, law, and people impact.
- Keep meticulous records and help evolve how we handle ER across the business.
- Occasionally support Employment Tribunal activity.
What you'll bring
- Solid ER experience, with hands-on investigation know-how.
- Industrial relations experience
- Confident grasp of employment law and ER best practice.
- Great communication and interviewing skills - impartial yet empathetic.
