ESOL / EAL Tutors
Pay: £25-£30 per hour Contract: Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Face-to-Face and Online Options
Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate and skilled ESOL/EAL Tutors to support learners across the Knowsley area. This is a rewarding opportunity for tutors who want flexible work that fits around their schedule while making a meaningful difference to learners developing their English language skills.
What You'll Be Doing
Delivering tailored ESOL/EAL sessions 1:1 or in small groups, either face-to-face or online.
Supporting learners at a range of proficiency levels across speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Creating engaging, level-appropriate lesson plans and resources.
Helping learners build confidence, independence, and access to the wider curriculum.
Working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those new to English or with additional learning needs.
Tracking progress, setting achievable targets, and providing clear feedback.
What We're Looking For
Experience delivering ESOL/EAL support in schools, colleges, community settings, or tutoring environments.
Strong understanding of ESOL/EAL strategies and language acquisition approaches.
CELTA, TESOL, TEFL or similar qualification (desirable).
Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
A patient, supportive, and culturally sensitive approach.
