Job Title: Estate Officer
Location: Northolt Housing Hub
Hourly rate £21.33 PAYE / £28.26 Umbrella per hour
Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours
ASAP Start
Strong understanding of fire safety principles and the law, particularly in relation to social housing and communal areas
Experience of carrying out estate / block inspections and identifying health and safety risks
Ability to take prompt action to ensure communal areas remain free from obstructions and hazards
Confident issuing and following up on removal notices to residents in line with policy
Capable of arranging and managing the safe storage of items, including liaising with residents to return stored belongings, and following correct procedures
Experience completing housing management-related fire risk assessment actions and accurately evidencing closure
Ability to assess breaches of tenancy conditions causing fire related risks and escalate to relevant teams (housing officers, community safety) where enforcement may be required
Competent in maintaining and updating secure information boxes
Excellent time management and self-organisation skills - able to plan and structure their own day effectively to maximise estate coverage
Comfortable working independently but also proactive in liaising with housing officers, estate services, building safety and community safety teams
Able to keep accurate records, evidencing actions and maintaining system updates
Confident in using IT systems
Comfortable with walking around estates and using stairs
Effective communicator, able to build constructive working relationships
