About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected MEP contractor based in Burnley for an experienced Estimation Manager. This is a key leadership role within a growing business that delivers mechanical and electrical services across a range of commercial and industrial projects.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Technical Director, with a clear progression pathway to own the full Estimation division and ultimately step into an Estimating Director role. This is a strategic hire for a company that values long-term development and internal promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation and submission of MEP tenders
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates
* Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and technical information
* Attend client meetings and support preconstruction activities
* Manage and mentor junior estimators
* Contribute to strategic planning and business development
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in estimating within the MEP/building services sector
* Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
* Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
* Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
Package Includes:
* Basic Salary: £54,679.56 per annum (paid weekly or monthly in arrears)
* Car Allowance: 12% of basic salary
* Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays
* Bonus Scheme: Company post-tax profit-related staff bonus
