The role of the Facade Designer – Building Envelope will involve:

  * Estimator & Bid Specialist position dealing with the estimating and bid process from across curtain walling, windows, doors, cladding, SFS, glazing, and metal work

  * Prepare accurate and competitive façade tenders, including detailed quantity take-offs, cost plans, risk allowances, and structured bid submissions.

  * Manage end-to-end tender processes, coordinating internal teams (design, commercial, procurement, operations) to ensure timely and compliant submissions.

  * Engage and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, benchmarking quotations to ensure commercial competitiveness and minimise risk.

  * Identify value engineering opportunities, technical risks, scope gaps, and commercial considerations to strengthen bid strategy and profitability.

  * Support post-tender negotiations and contract handover, ensuring all assumptions, exclusions, risks, and procurement strategies are clearly documented and communicated.

The ideal applicant will be Facade Designer – Building Envelope with:

  * Must have 3+ years’ experience estimating façade systems or related such as cladding systems, curtain walling, windows and doors, architectural metalwork, SFS and associated secondary steel or support systems

  * Proven experience working with clients tendering and managing bids

  * Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant façade performance standards.

  * IT literate (Microsoft Office)

  * Excellent planning, organisation, time management skills
