Job Description
Estimator | Balham | Commercial Refurbishment & Fit-Out | ASAP Start
Join a well-established main contractor delivering commercial refurbishments, office fit-outs, and warehouse conversions across London and the South East.
You'll take ownership of estimating duties from enquiry through to tender return working closely with the Directors and project teams in a small, tight-knit business.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced estimator who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a friendly, collaborative team.
The Role
• Prepare detailed take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications
• Manage tender enquiries typically 510 live tenders per week at busy times
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Attend site visits and develop an understanding of project scope and conditions
• Support the team with general tasks when workload is light (site checks, pricing support, etc.)
What they're looking for
• 510 years' experience as an Estimator within a main contractor or similar environment
• Confident producing accurate take-offs and schedules from drawings
• Flexible, hands-on attitude with a willingness to pitch in across the business
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills a genuine team player
• Ideally suited to someone from a small company background who's used to wearing a few hats
