Estimator (Fit Out / Main Contractor Experience) – Hull / Hybrid Work – £50,000 - £60,000
We are recruiting for one of our clients, a growing construction business based in Hull, who are looking to appoint an Estimator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company at a pivotal stage of growth, with real autonomy and the chance to shape the estimating function from day one.
The Role
You’ll lead the financial preparation of tenders and bids, working closely with the directors and pre-construction team. Your experience in fit-out or main contracting will be key in delivering competitive, commercially sound bids and supporting the transition into successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation of bids and tenders from start to finish
Collaborate with directors throughout the bid process
Risk-assess tenders and report findings
Lead tender adjudications
Prepare professional, branded submissions
Oversee handover of successful tenders to delivery teams
Liaise with commercial and procurement teams
Conduct site visits and attend stakeholder meetings
Obtain and analyse quotes from the supply chain
Measure and ‘take off’ quantities from drawings
Track cost data from completed projects to inform future bids
Support the team with post-tender clarificationsWhat We're Looking For:
7–10+ years’ experience in estimating, ideally within fit out or main contracting
Proven ability to manage the full tender process
Strong commercial and risk awareness
Confident communicator and team collaborator
Highly organised with strong attention to detailWhat’s on Offer:
