Estimator – Groundworks & RC Frame
📍 Teddington Office | Full-time | Competitive Salary (£50k-£70K DOE) PAYE or Self Employed
We’re looking for an Estimator to join our dynamic estimating team in Teddington, supporting the pricing and tendering of a diverse portfolio of groundworks and RC frame projects across London and the South East.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical mindset and commercial awareness who’s ready to build a long-term career in estimating within a growing and supportive construction business.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Senior Estimators in preparing competitive tenders and detailed cost estimates
* Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation
* Help compile bills of quantities and material take-offs
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
* Support senior estimators in developing tender submissions and bid documents
* Learn to identify and evaluate commercial risks and opportunities in civil/groundworks packages
About You
You may come from a site engineering, commercial, or academic background – what matters most is your enthusiasm and attention to detail.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (experience with estimating software is an advantage)
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within a team environment
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
