Job Description

Estimator | Main Contractor | Yorkshire | £45k - £65k + Package

We’re currently working with a growing construction contractor to recruit an Estimator due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.

The business delivers a broad range of projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, refurbishment and civil engineering sectors, and they are looking for someone who can play a key role in supporting the pre-construction team and helping secure future projects.

This role would suit an Estimator looking to join a growing contractor where they can take ownership of tenders, work closely with operational teams and progress within an expanding business.

What You’ll Be Doing;

Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
	
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
	
Producing take-offs and bills of quantities
	
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
	
Supporting value engineering and cost planning exercises
	
Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams
	
Working closely with operational teams during handover stages
	
Assisting with bid submissions and tender presentations

What You Will Need;

Previous experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment
	
Experience pricing construction, refurbishment or civil engineering projects
	
Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing
	
Ability to interpret drawings and technical information
	
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
	
Good communication and organisational skills
	
Relevant construction qualification preferred
