Up to £50,000 (inc. Car Allowance) | Office-Based | Commercial Fit Out

Want to be the go-to Estimator in a growing business where your decisions genuinely shape projects from day one?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Estimator to step into a standalone role with real ownership and visibility. You'll be working directly with the Managing Director, pricing a constant flow of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects while playing a key part in the company's continued growth. If you're tired of being a small cog in a large pre-construction team and want a position where your contribution is recognised, this could be the move you've been waiting for.

A well-established SME contractor is looking for an Estimator with a fit-out background, although furniture installation experience will also be considered. Projects typically range from £10k to £100k, with larger schemes reaching £500k, across commercial office and education environments.

The Role

As the company's lead Estimator, you'll take ownership of enquiries from initial scope through to contract award, working closely with the Design, Sales and Delivery teams to ensure projects are accurately priced and successfully handed over.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
Managing a high volume of enquiries and quotations.
Preparing quantity take-offs, cost plans and pricing schedules from drawings and specifications.
Procuring and evaluating subcontractor packages.
Identifying commercial risks, pricing assumptions and value engineering opportunities.
Working alongside Design, Sales and Project Management teams throughout the pre-construction process.
Supporting project handovers and pricing additional scopes of work.

About You

Estimating experience within fit-out, refurbishment or furniture installation.
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
Ideally 2-3 years' experience at Estimator level or ready to step up into a more autonomous role.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Able to thrive within a fast-paced SME environment.
