Solar PV Estimator – Utility & Commercial Solar
Exeter (Hybrid) | Permanent, Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Bonus
Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy developer delivering complex solar projects across the UK. From large commercial rooftops to multi-megawatt ground-mount sites, they are reshaping how clean power gets built—and they’re now hiring a Solar PV Estimator to support that journey.
As part of a dynamic team, you’ll be central to pricing up solar PV systems up to 70MW. Your role will involve evaluating site conditions, interpreting technical designs, building cost models, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to deliver competitive, accurate proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create full-cost breakdowns for rooftop and utility-scale solar installations
* Review drawings, plans, and site data to build robust estimates
* Liaise with engineers and procurement to refine designs and source pricing
* Support proposal documents and client tenders with clear, data-driven input
* Keep pricing tools and supplier databases current and competitive
What You’ll Need To Be Successful:
* 3+ years of experience estimating large-scale solar PV systems
* Familiarity with tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and Excel
* Good grasp of UK solar installation standards and grid considerations
* Bonus if you’ve worked with BESS, PPA models, or have NABCEP certification
