Job Description
Marble Talent Group is recruiting for an experienced Estimator with a successful track record in delivering multi-million-pound projects. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a project team in delivering a significant M&E flagship construction project in the Portsmouth area.
Your leadership will be key in meeting both operational and financial objectives, fostering a collaborative approach throughout the project lifecycle, and delivering to high client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical or electrical projects, including labour, materials, and subcontractor costs.
* Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess project scope.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing and negotiate rates.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with technical requirements.
* Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
* Support tender submissions and handover to project teams.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in estimating within the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) industry.
* Strong understanding of M&E systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
* Knowledge of current market rates and cost trends in the M&E sector.
