A highly respected construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its thriving commercial team. With a strong footprint across the region, this company has been delivering exceptional construction projects for decades. Their portfolio spans education, commercial, healthcare and public sector. The Role:
As Estimator, you will play a key part in the pre-construction team, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the wider commercial team to secure and deliver competitively priced, accurately scoped tenders.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing tender opportunities with the commercial team
Attending site visits during tender stage
Preparing and sending enquiries to the supply chain
Raising RFIs and ensuring timely responses
Assessing tender documentation for accuracy and completeness
Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations
Preparing comprehensive cost submissions
Identifying and managing project risk at bid stage
Providing clear and accurate handover documentation to delivery teams
Monitoring cost alignment during project mobilisation
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous estimating experience in a construction environment (main contracting)
Familiarity with two-stage tendering processes
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
IT-literate with experience of estimating software and CRM systems, Excel and ConQuest
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Full driving licence essential; DBS clearance may be required
