Estimator - Overhead Transmission Lines | Hybrid (Nottinghamshire 2-3 days/week) | Up to £65,000 + Package | Permanent
I'm working with a leading infrastructure contractor delivering overhead transmission line projects across the UK, from 132kV up to 400kV. They're looking to appoint an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to support the pre-construction and tendering function on overhead line new build and refurbishment works.
Working closely with Bid Managers and Project Development teams, you'll take ownership of pricing, planning, and supporting successful bid submissions. You'll be involved from early engagement through to handover, supporting both technical and commercial aspects of the process.
This is a hybrid role with the option to be based 2-3 days per week from offices in Annesley, with the rest of the time working from home.
Key responsibilities include preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions, analysing supply chain quotations, supporting procurement activities, engaging with internal commercial and engineering teams, and participating in bid risk reviews. You'll also help identify cost-saving opportunities, coach junior estimators, and support continuous improvement in the estimating process.
To be considered, you'll need a minimum of 3 years' experience in an estimating role within the infrastructure or energy sector, ideally with exposure to overhead line or substation projects. You should have a solid understanding of construction methods, drawings, engineering specifications, and commercial terminology, along with strong Excel skills. A full UK driving licence is essential.
