About Us:
We are a well-established and growing construction company based in Warrington, delivering high-quality projects across the North West.
Our portfolio spans public sector buildings, residential developments, commercial spaces, and select industrial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for excellence, we're looking to expand our team with an experienced and proactive Construction Estimator.
The Role:
As a General Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of our projects. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting tenders, and working closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure successful bid outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
* Prepare tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities.
* Liaise with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather cost data.
* Conduct risk assessments and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Support the bid team in the preparation of tender submissions.
* Ensure all estimating activities comply with industry and company standards.
* Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labour, and plant.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in general contracting.
* Knowledge across a broad range of project types: public buildings, residential, commercial, and industrial.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing trends.
* Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., ConQuest, Causeway, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
* Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field.
