Job Description
Our client, a well-established and respected fit-out contractor based in South Manchester, is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their office-based team. With over 40 years of experience in delivering laboratory and furniture fit-outs across the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors, they are known for their repeat business, family-run values, and down-to-earth culture.

Estimator - Benefits
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)

Estimator - Role Overview
Review and assess new project enquiries
Interpret drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
Research and price labour, materials, and equipment
Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and suppliers
Coordinate and assess sub-contractor quotations
Prepare and submit detailed quotations and tender documentation
Support procurement and bid preparation as required
Maintain the quote register and track project feedback
Estimator - Requirements
3+ years' experience in estimating or quantity surveying
Strong knowledge of construction processes and components, preferably in fit-out or furniture sectors
Comfortable reading and quantifying from technical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
Strong communication and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Experience with fitted furniture projects is advantageous
