Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor
📍 Essex - Thurrock
📅 Permanent Start | Full-Time
Are you an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor looking for a long-term role with a stable and well-respected main contractor? We're recruiting on behalf of a confidential client with an excellent reputation delivering high-quality refurbishment and new build projects across the commercial, education, healthcare and heritage sectors.
🏗 The Role
Due to continued growth and project wins, the business is looking to appoint an Estimator / QS to support their commercial team. You’ll be involved in:
*
Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders and negotiated works
*
Managing budgets, procurement, variations, valuations and final accounts
*
Working closely with site teams, directors and clients to ensure project profitability
*
Supporting pre-construction and live projects ranging from £250k to £5m
*
Engaging with supply chain partners to secure best value
👤 Ideal Candidate
*
3+ years’ experience in an estimating or QS role with a main contractor
*
Experience across sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial or heritage
*
Confident managing multiple projects at various stages
*
Strong understanding of JCT contracts and construction processes
*
Based within a reasonable commute of South East London / Kent border
