Exciting Opportunity: Civil Engineering Estimator in the East Midlands
Recon Advisory Partners is working with a leading construction firm in the East Midlands to find a talented and dedicated Permanent Estimator. The client I am working with work on a variety of different projects such as Energy, Utilities and Retail and the Commercial sector, therefore if you have prior experience within any of these sectors then I would encourage you to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents for civil engineering projects.
Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities.
Assess and establish accurate project costs, considering materials, labour, and equipment.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop viable bids and proposals.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project profitability.
Maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers, subcontractors, and pricing information.
Review and evaluate tenders and negotiating terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure all estimations comply with company policies and industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering sector.
Strong understanding of civil engineering processes and materials.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in the use of estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
Relevant qualifications or training related to civil engineering or estimating preferred.
Salary/Package:
Up to £60k plus Car Allowance although DOE
Hybrid working
