Job Description
An opportunity to join a Global Civil Engineering contractor, with a UK turnover in excess of £80million. Abatec is working with an industry leader in delivering major highway and power infrastructure projects across the UK, in the recruitment of a permanent Estimator. Based in Swindon, our client requires an Estimator with a Civil Engineering background and experience in developing tender strategies, design feasibility, producing activity schedules and BoQ’s through to tender submission.
As an Estimator you will:
* Have worked on tenders within the Civil Engineering industry.
* Be responsible for preparation and submission of all bids.
* Analyse labour, material and plant subcontractors for best value.
* Have working knowledge of NEC contracts.
Our client requires an Estimator with:
* Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
* Experience of reviewing contract terms and Conditions, identifying and clarifying scope of work at Tender stage and creating commercial strategies.
Salary and benefits include:
* Up to £70,000 per annum
* Company vehicle or £5,750 car allowance
* Holiday entitlement, pension scheme, sick pay etc.
