About the Company
We are an award-winning fit-out and refurbishment contractor, part of a multi-faceted construction and property group. With 80% of next year’s order book already secured and further tenders in the pipeline, we are well placed for sustained growth and success.
About the Role
As Senior Estimator, you will be a key member of the pre-construction team, playing a central role in securing profitable projects and ensuring accurate, competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities
*
Identify and assess new tender opportunities through portals, frameworks, and direct invitations.
*
Evaluate tender suitability, risks, and commercial viability in line with company strategy.
*
Prepare accurate cost estimates using first principles (labour, plant, and materials).
*
Measure and quantify materials required for each project.
*
Liaise with supply chain partners and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
*
Prepare programme timelines and ensure estimating deliverables are completed to deadlines.
*
Work closely with the wider pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure alignment from tender stage through to handover.
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction sector, ideally with fit-out and refurbishment experience.
*
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
*
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
*
Strong communication and negotiation abilities when dealing with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
*
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
*
Knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance requirements.
