The role of the Estimator – Laboratory Furniture will involve:
* Estimator position dealing with main a high end manufactured range of laboratory furniture such as: ward furniture, hygiene stations, worktops, surfaces, taps, benches, desks, shelving and teaching stations
* Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
* Perform accurate take-offs using Excel to quantify materials and components.
* Develop detailed schedules and pricing documents for tender submissions.
* Liaise with internal teams (design, production, and project management) to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
* Obtain prices for items through the procurement team.
* Attend meetings with main contractors to discuss scope, pricing, and project requirements.
* Problem-solving skills in cost reduction and value engineering to support the Main Contractor.
* Maintain and update pricing databases and estimation templates.
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Laboratory Furniture with:
* Must have 2+ years of estimating experience within construction or manufacturing environment
* Ideally will have experience in the furniture, fit out, FF&E or related interiors market sector
* Experience with ward furniture, hygiene stations, worktops, surfaces, taps, benches, desks, shelving and teaching stations would be highly advantageous
* Extensive Excel experience
* Comfortable reading architectural drawings
