Estimator – Roofing & Cladding Contractor (Commercial Projects)
Location: Renfrew, Glasgow

Our client, a well-established roofing and cladding contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team based in Renfrew, supporting projects across Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
The business delivers high-quality roofing and cladding solutions within the commercial sector, including new build and refurbishment projects across schools, hospitals, and public sector developments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and delivery-focused professional to play a key role in securing future work and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Role Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, working closely with the senior management and project delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes from enquiry through to contract award.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for roofing and cladding projects.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
* Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and commercial advantages.
* Support negotiations and handover to the delivery team following successful bids.
* Maintain accurate cost databases and contribute to estimating process improvements.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as an Estimator within the roofing, cladding, or building envelope sector.
* Strong commercial and technical understanding of construction methodologies.
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple tenders concurrently.
