Estimator / Surveyor – Property Services Division
📍 Location: Within 1 Hour of Gloucester

Sora Recruitment is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Estimator/Surveyor to join our client’s Property Services Division on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected commercial organisation in a stable and rewarding environment.
About the Role:
The Property Services Division is a specialist and profitable division, focused on insurance loss repairs and reinstatement works. Typical projects include restoration following fires, floods, escapes of water, lightning strikes, and structural defects, across a diverse range of properties including domestic homes, HMOs, educational buildings, industrial units, and commercial premises.
Key Responsibilities:

Build up and price estimated net costs for tendered and negotiated projects
*
Measure works on-site and from drawings to calculate accurate quantities
*
Capture photographic records before, during, and after project works
*
Compile and submit comprehensive quotations
*
Negotiate and agree contract sums for negotiated works
*
Prepare and agree monthly valuations and final account forecasts
*
Prepare and issue interim and final invoices
*
Price and agree variations and final accounts
*
Obtain and negotiate subcontractor prices
*
Attend subcontractor pre-order meetings and place orders
*
Review, agree, and process subcontractor payments and variations
*
Maintain well-organised project files and documentation
*
Attend regular site meetings and internal team meetings
