Start Date: ASAP - 17th August 2026 End Date: 02 October 2026 Pay Rate: £20.10 per hour Days per Week: Monday to Friday Hours of work: 37 hours per week Location: Chelmsford Campus (Hybrid working opportunities available) Application process: Upload an up to date CV and Cover letter outlining your research and ethics approval process and website redesign knowledge please read the job description below *This role is open to Non students with the appropriate experience* Help shape ethical research at a leading university We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Ethics, Governance and Integrity Officer to join our Research and Innovation Services team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing research ethics and governance processes across the University. Working closely with the Ethics, Governance and Integrity Manager, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our ethics systems, guidance and resources, ensuring that researchers and students receive high-quality support throughout the research ethics approval process. What you'll be doing In this varied role, you will: * Lead on the redesign and development of the University's central research ethics website. * Assist with the review, development and enhancement of ethics guidance and support materials. * Produce high-quality written content and guidance documents for staff and students. * Organise meetings, coordinate schedules and book rooms. * Take accurate and professional minutes and maintain clear records. * Proofread reports, guidance documents and other publications. * Support the preparation of annual reporting by checking and validating data. * Respond to enquiries from students and staff, providing professional and timely support. * Undertake other duties that contribute to the effective delivery of the Ethics, Governance and Integrity function. About you We're looking for someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver work to a consistently high standard. You will have: * Experience redesigning or managing website content. * A strong understanding of research ethics processes, ideally within a higher education environment. * Experience taking minutes and supporting formal committees or meetings. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy. * Confidence dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and responding to enquiries professionally.
